Well done Tezz, it looks like the current one to me. I just wish they'd change all those little letter separators!

I just squash all the letters in and that seems to work OK with Immigration.

Despite all the outward display of meticulous checking by Immigration Officers, I've long come to the conclusion that there's actually a lot of bluff going on at the desk. It seems to me that as long as all the boxes are completed and there aren't any 'YES' ticks on the reverse side, they aren't really checking the form that closely. I honestly don't think they have the time or really care about keeping within the seperators - I just find it irritating some reason.

On 1 occasion I incorrectly put that day's date as my date of birth on the retention stub and it was only noticed when I came to hand it back on my return flight.

I'm assuming that somehow or another it gets input onto their computer system and that's how many spaces they have in each data field. So I leave the conundrum about how to fit Manchester in to the computer operator. but having said that, the letter separators irritate me too.

I just wonder how many people they employ to file away all those little bits of green paper
