| On April 5th, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will open Jungala – its newest and most ambitious park enhancement project to date. Set in the Congo area, the 4-acre attraction will invite guests to discover exotic creatures, explore a village hidden deep in the jungle and connect with the inhabitants of the lush landscape through up-close animal interactions, multi-story family play areas, rides and live entertainment.
Towering trees, cascading waterfalls, flowing waterways and elaborate stone structures shape the landscape to transport guests out of their modern-day lives into a mythical place where the inhabitants – both human and animal – live in complete harmony with nature.
From atop the tallest trees or beneath the jungle floor, guests will be completely immersed in the animals’ world. Multi-tiered habitats allow visitors to connect with two of the world’s most endangered species – Bengal tigers and orangutans. Treetop observation platforms are the perfect vantage point to watch orangutans within their family groups or resting in a specially designed treehouse. Subterranean caves and underwater windows offer a clear view of tigers swimming in their temperature-controlled plunge pool, while natural bridges and bamboo screens bring guests closer to these exotic predators than ever before. Acrobatic gibbons, flying foxes and mysterious tomistomas also make this exotic rainforest home.
In the jungle clearing, the village is anchored by a centerpiece 35-foot rock formation towering above its pathways. Stiltwalkers will parade throughout the village, highlighting the beauty and grace of the colorful jungle flora and fauna with elaborate costumes representing birds, frogs and even the trees themselves.
Two signature rides add to the excitement of Jungala: a zip line experience offers three different flight patterns above the tree tops for young adventurers and another ride launches guests up above a towering waterfall. A 3-story family climbing area allows visitors to ascend through the tree canopy on rope bridges to explore the different layers of jungle life, and a children’s water-play area allows even the youngest explorers to interact with the environment.
Jungala also will offer two new dining options for Busch Gardens guests. The Bengal Bistro, a newly remodeled version of the popular Vivi Restaurant, and the all-new Orang Café will offer seasonal entrées, salads and sandwiches, premium snacks and expanded childrens’ menus for hungry explorers of all ages.
More details will be announced as the new park area nears completion.

ANIMAL HABITATS
• Bengal Tigers: Subterranean caves, natural bamboo screens and a suspension bridge offer up-close views of two big cat habitats that feature rock formations, a temperature-controlled plunge pool and a “tiger tug-of-war” for guest interaction.
• Orangutans: Tree-top viewing platforms allow guests to watch the primates playing in a specially designed tree house or resting in rope hammocks.
• Kulu Canopy: This multi-species animal habitat features northern white-cheeked crested gibbons, flying foxes and tomistomas – a reclusive crocodilian native to Indonesia and Malaysia.
RIDES and PLAY AREAS
• The Wild Surge: A 4-story pneumatic ride that launches 14 passengers out of a mountain crater up above a towering waterfall for a thrilling view of the village below.
• Jungle Flyers: A multi-level zip line that offers three different flight patterns above the treetops for young adventurers and their families.
• Tree Top Trails: With climbing nets, bridges, crawl tubes and a multi-level maze for bigger kids, plus a water-play area for younger children, this 3-story family play area allows visitors to explore the different levels of jungle life.
RESTAURANTS
• Bengal Bistro: Formerly Vivi Restaurant, the newly renovated bistro will feature outdoor seating and offer cafeteria-style service of an expanded children’s menu and entrée choices including fish, club sandwiches, wraps and salads.
• Orang Café: A new restaurant offering premium snacks and a variety of seasonal entrées, including Chicken “Stripes” with special dipping sauces, peanut butter & jelly on Monkey Bread, safari cookies, Bug Candy and many other family-friendly items.

| i have just watched a webcast on the busch gardens web site
its pretty interesting about the new jungala(lots of talking )
and there will also be another one on there tomorrow about aquatica
might be worth a look

| This is on our things to do. When we booked the Discovery Cove tickets there was options to select free entry into another theme park - we chose Busch Gardesn. The other option was Seaworld.
I have just chekced web site again & this fact is not well advertised but found this in the FAQ's
"SeaWorld Orlando/Busch Gardens Africa Tampa Pass Usage(Top)
* If your package includes the seven or fourteen day come-and-go-as-you-please pass to SeaWorld Orlando or Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, you must use it consecutively with your visit to Discovery Cove, either before, after, or a combination of both.
* Your personalized ID card will serve as your ticket if you decide to visit SeaWorld Orlando or Busch Gardens Tampa, or a combination of both, after your reservation date. However, if you plan on visiting the park(s) of your choice prior to your Discovery Cove adventure, simply present your confirmation letter at their Guest Relations window located at the front gate."

| | We have also booked DC but took the option to upgrade to 14 consecutive days for Bush and Seaworld. Probably only go to Busch once cos of the travelling but will spend more time at Seaworld as the girls love it.
