| If you have a Mastercard, American Airlines are offering 15% of the base fare (ie. after taxes etc). Just quote code MASTER and they apply the discount. I have Manchester-Fort Myers in April on hold at £298 all-in. I think Orlando is even cheaper.
The offer lasts for all of 2008 so even bigger potential savings when the prices are higher in the summer. | Edited by - Katys Grandad on 10 Jan 2008 07:32:57 | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

From March the routes are open to other carriers but £218 is a fantastic price.

I'm not sure this has anything to do with de-regulating. Although it might make things more competetive in the long-term, there aren't any more UK slots available for carriers to use. What I think we are beginning to see is carriers such as BA operating routes to the US from outside the UK.
The best price for my dates is £243 all-in but that's still a very good fare to Fort Myers.

| Too good to last it seems! Just went back to check and what was £243 is now £365.
I'm wondering what's left of these deals now. | Edited by - Katys Grandad on 10 Jan 2008 10:30:41 | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| | Hopefully it does show though that there are good deals to be had out there and for anyone contemplating a holiday to Florida this can only be encouraging. With the good exchange rate and the great value for money accommodation on offer it does seem the sensible option. We have done a kind of swap for a week in Spain and the flight prices are coming up at more that this for the Spring dates we are looking for and the apartment costs £1500 per week! | http://www.orlandovillarental.com/florida-vacation-rental-3265.aspx | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

Sorry, it's not available on line - I should have mentioned that. You need to telephone American on 0207 365 0777.
The way to get the best deal is to hold a reservation on aa.com and then ring. They will apply the discount from there. If they try to charge you a £15 per ticket for a phone booking tell them that, as the code doesn't work online, it isn't payable. | | These look great. It's probably too much to hope that they stay this way for much longer - I'm looking to book for Fort Myers next Christmas, and when I saw this I rushed online to book, but they won't quote me yet. | Tonish | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| I nearly booked flights on the 9th but left it and yesterday they were much more expensive. According to a travel agent I know, the fares on the 9th were incorrect due to a website error. Anyone who booked then got a bargain | Ruth

I tend to agree with MollyMolly that it is probably not a website error. - although errors* do happen.
The airlines often release some seats for a short while. The story quickly get around with the internet and they are quickly snapped up by passengers and/or agents.
On the Delta offer I suspect the capacity used up first was on the flights to/from Atlanta.
* Someone found an Alitalia flight from Canada to Cyprus return in fully flexible First class(with stops allowed in Italy) for $100 return. Literally hundreds if not thousands got confirmed bookings on-line before Alitalia found out. They tried to cancel the tickets, but were threatened with legal action and I believe all tickets were honoured. | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| We booked on 9th for £244 and when I checked the next morning they had shot up to £510, for the exact same flight, prior to 9th the price was £344 so I think you may well be right Ruth.
