| We are going out for 3 weeks at christmas and my mum has a list of things that she wants to take with her - I told her not too bother, but she wants to take them anyway.
Question is, will they be allowed?
1. Marmalade? 2. Shredded Wheat (I know - Publix - you can buy them there!!!)
We are taking the usual tea bags, but as you are not allowed fruit - would the marmalade come under this umbrella?
Also, do they have to be put onto the blue customs forms?
thanks

I think you are suppossed to put everything that you are bringing in (tea bags etc) but not sure.
I have never bothered before, but it crossed my mind today! | Caz | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| When we came in ORLANDO and had cleared immaggrations and pick our cases up we were leaving the airport and giveing in our white card we had filled in, The cutoms officer taking them from us shouted to us all have you any food in your bags ,We had none so we went straight through some had and stayed behind so they were enforcing the law ,So as said before you can buy the things you want in PUBLICS or GOODINGS SUPER MARKET has them . I'm of the opinion that it's best to confess to something straight up rather than hope you don't get found out - if you declare anything that's allowed anyway, they can't say you've been dishonest can they? | Blott www.orlandovillas.com/villas/150.aspx

| On Wednesday we brought in Heinz beans, tea bags, coffee pods, salad cream, Christmas puddings, mince pies and a tub of Celebrations, with no trouble. We had to go through the 2nd scanner at Customs where he asked what food we had and he wanted to know what the round things scanning were (Christmas pud), that and the mince my MC had asked me to bring over for her.
My hubby likes the beans with reduced sugar and salt and no srftificial sweeteners which we havent found here yet. | Babblin Boo http://www.orlandovillas.com/villas/92.aspx

| We had about a dozen jars of baby food which we told the immigration officer about.
The immigration officer put a mark on our white cards and the customs bloke got a foodstuff agency bloke to have a look at what we had just to be on the safe side.
He checked them over, said thats fine and let us go.
This was at Sanford though, not MCO. I always find the staff a lot more relaxed and user friendly at Sanford with it specifically being a "holiday" airport.

| | I remember our first trip to Florida in 1995 then I brought rashers ,sausages ,brown bread ,butter and a carton of frozen milk which would be defrosted by the time we got to our destination , now we shop in Public on the way to the villa. Looking back did we think we were going to an unexplored part of the world , I have no idea why I put such hard work on myself ,but I know I still dont like their sausages . | Olive | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |
