Hello,

We are going to Orlando for christmas, and are looking for ideas for things to do on Christmas Day, we have decided not to tackle the parks as we have been told that they are very busy, but now we are looking for other ideas,

many thanks in advance

You could visit the ICE exhibition at Gaylord Palms

Just put ICE at Gaylord Palms in a google search and this will give all the information
(not sure I can put a link in this posting )

beautiful ice sculptures and if you like Ice Skating there is an ice rink to.

Pre booking is recommended and you can do this on-line and print off the tickets at home.

Why not go to the beach for the day? Drive over to the Gulf of Mexico and have a paddle Can not do that in England on Xmas day without getting frostbite
There are some great restaurants & bars on the beach south of Clearwater! Go to Johns Pass, on Madeira Beach and watch the dolphins play.

Great little shops here too.
Whatever you, HAVE FUN!!

We went to Florida two years ago for Christmas and spent the morning in the park (IofA) and it really was not very busy, probably the quitest we seen it over the holidays, we just spent the afternoon in the villa, bought christmas dinner from Walmart almost all cooked the day before so really no big deal, lots to drink and swimming in the pool on Christmas day, who could ask for more.
What ever you decide we hope you have a great time.

Great idea not to go to the Parks. Well may be one park. We were in Magic Kingdon on Xmas Day last year and it was packed to the rafters. Never seen so many people in one place. Plus it rained most of the day so everybody was running for shelter. Was so glad when we left early and had evening meal at Carrabbas Italian Grill.
