Can anyone recommend somewhere for Christmas Lunch. We went to Gaylord Palms a few years back, but looking at the forum guides and Internet, it looks like it no longer takes place.

We will be a family of 5, all adults.

Thanks
Lesley

The Villa de Flora buffet at the Gaylord Palms is still running, and is a great place to go for Christmas day - we went last year and thoroughly enjoyed it... You can visit the ICE exhibition as well...

We are trying The Peabody this year. We did The Celebration Hotel last time we went for Christmas in 2005.

The best ever has to be the Renaissance at Seaworld, but sadly they no longer do it. We went to the Peabody last year and thought it very poor in comparison - but the Renaissance is a lot to live up to.
The main problem was that it is in a small restaurant, with the buffet leading off it, and they really wanted you to eat and go. The desserts were very poor, too. At the Renaissance, however, we had a very relaxed time, and stayed several hours watching all that was going on, and there was no sense of being hurried. You were allowed to stay at your table for as long as you liked and many families opened presents and just sat and chatted, we even had a mini-OV meet up! Mind you, we loved seeing the Peabody ducks and wandered around this lovely hotel for a while after our meal.

I think it really depends what you want, and to my mind, anyway, having someone else cook for you at Christmas is a real bonus, wherever you go!

We did Xmas Dinner at The Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdon Xmas 2006.

Food was excellent but the queue's were huge.

Fortunatley we booked around this time last year through Disney Online and walked straight to the front of the queue.

If this is a choice for you then I would advise to book on line with Disney. Infact book any Disney Restaurant on line before you arrive and a least you wont be disappointed

We are booked for the 5.00pm sitting - thought we could make an evening of it as well. Probably see you as you are leaving.
