Yes, we do every time (and a large canister of water), but you can not take in glass or alcohol.

We always take picnic to Typhoon Lagoon & Blizzard Beach, never had a problem
Don't know about other water parks though

We took lunch with us to blizzard beach and had no problem. If you get there early there are some lovely spots up for grabs around the park. I find by the wave pool the beds are really close to each other.

We always to a small cool box to every park, as it is usually hard to get soft drinks for a young child that is not fizzy
