Hi we made a trip down to St Petes Beach yesterday Treasure Island area

Seems to be very limited parking for visitors, finally found street at the side of Crabby Bills which had around a dozen spaces with meters $1 an hour

Just wondering if anyone else knows of other places that are ok to park in this area

You can go on PUBLICS car park do a little shopping the walk across the road and into the beach , PUBLICS is across from CRABBEY BILLS .
IF you go out of ST PETES into TREASURE ISLAND which is over the bridge there is a free car park (TREASURE ISLAND) is has toilets and showers to wash your feet or costumes when you come from the beach .
Them if you walk on the beach for a while you can see other places .
We stay there sometimes as some nice motels and hotels .

If you are going to St Pete Beach, just go a little further, to Fort Do Soto. Tons of parking, lots of picnic shelters, barbeque stations, toilets, showers, miles of park with no buildings, a real old (well old for Florida) fort, wonderful sunsets, lifeguards, perfect sand. You can even camp here overnight, I think you have to book though.

It's very unspoilt. Take some steaks, charcoal and lighter things, a picnic and stay a whole day. There are kayak rentals usually at weekends. Miles of bike trails/skater etc, even a doggie park.
