| No signs up Jill where are these going to be? Cagans Crossings is coming along there should be several new places open there soon. Signs up for Sherlocks, an indian restaurant (spoke to the people who own this and they are hoping to have this open by the end of the year. They reckon they signed the lease 5 years ago.) There is a chinese and several fast food takeaways. Also the signs are up for Gator Dockside which I think will be similar to Beef O Bradys and also a bar called something like Ricky Vitas latin bar!
Also a wine and beer cellar called Viceroys which is open already this is also owned by the people who are opening the indian restaurant. We are off to a beer tasting at the weekend .
Should be great when everything is open and up and running as they are within walking distance from our villa | Pamela http://www.villasflorida.com/florida-vacation-rental-3387.aspx | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| Chillis by Walmart on US-27 close to junction with 192 is very good, Appleby's OK but one meal had to go back as cold but the whole experience was good. Mannys has been worth the drive 3 times wheist we have been here and they are about to open a 2nd one at Lake Wales if anyone is venturing further South.
Gators Dockside at Cagan Crossing opened on Friday so we will call in before we come home Monday and give you all a report - had a look inside when we called at Simka's Sweets the other day and looks very much like a pub with bar snacks but we will see. KFC looks about a month off - they have just pained the exterior and the signs have arrivesd and are in a massive create. Hope they don't build one of those awful Golden Coral places - they are gross.
We need better standards than some of the poor buffet type fare served on the 192 - I would be looking for the likes of Smokey Bones, Uno, Orland Ale House or Steak and Ale and my wife a good local Olive Garden.

Excuse me?
All the above (and a whole heap more) are still available on the 192, where they've been very successfully located for many years. | Blott www.orlandovillas.com/villas/150.aspx

| Hi Folks
Just got back last night , and thought I would report on our eating out guide for this trip . 1, went to Applebees on the 27, food realy good and nice atmosphere [ unfortunalty though I halved a front tooth on a hard piece of ciabatta bread] 2 went to TGI,S on 192 , very very poor ,food cold and overpriced for what you get ] . 3 UNO,s on 192 this used to be our Fav until now , we went in at 5pm to fairly empty restuarant , we were seated by a nice waitress ,got a drink then all hell let loose , within 10 mins 3 bus loads [around 80 ] high school students came in with their teachers , kids were uncontrollable . they were screaming shouting ,dancing singing and throwing food about [ and their teachers were worse . we asked to be moved away from them ,but was told we couldn,t , again the prices were inflated [ compared to ie Chillis } this was the worst experience we have ever had in many years . The Manager even said he knew they were coming but didn,t think other diners would bother too much [ well 3 tables left mid meal and many more walked out as soon as they came in ] 4 Olive Garden on International drive , excellent prices ,menu and atmosphere cant fault it , great free soup ,salad, breadsticks withan entree so grat value for money . 5 Chillis at Champions gate our Favourite but a few points to watch out for are it is well named as it was freezing inside ,asked to be moved if you are seated under one of their many Air con units or you will need a fleece . The other point is , and this made my son furious as he works in hospitality , is in each of our 3 visits they brought out our main meal no more than 5 Mins after we recieved our starters while we were still eating so our meal had to be sent back to the kitchen to sit under a heated light .It was so bad on our 3 visit everything arrived at the same time ,but they did give free drinks to make up for it . The food it great though and the starter platter is fantastic . Roll on May and Sept [our next visits] p.s hope a few new places spring up around Posner Park /Champions Gate area

Personally we haven't been to the buffet style restaurants since the kids were little and we were on a very tight budget (1996). There are loads of great places to eat on the 192 for £10 per head. | Paul
