| | Just seen this thread and the comments made. From a personal point of view we tried it because it certainly looks good and is very near to where we live. However the food was not good and I had to send a steak back that I asked for well done and when I cut into it (well it was not done anyway) yuk so it went back but it put me right off and so I for one did not enjoy the experience. Obviously it could have been a one off and we will probably try it again (although I will not have the steak). | Stuart & Linda

You don't need the name as it's the only one there. It's the first store right next to Centerstate Bank. | Blott www.orlandovillas.com/villas/150.aspx

| "wondering if anyone can recommend other eating places at/near to champions gate
thanks Mizzy"
Just returned from the championsgate area.....you can get onto I4 and go west 1 junction to 27 (or continue along Ronald Reagan Parkway and left at the lights onto 27....often quicker (especially on the way back, certain times of the day it is difficult (long queues) to turn left onto Ronald Reagan Parkway from Championsgate)...on the juction of I4 & 27 there is a Cracker Barrell, Dennys, Perkins, Bob Evans, Wendys, Mcdonalds plus 2 chinese buffets (DO NOT GO TO THESE AS THE TOILETS ARE DISGUSTING!!!!!!).....There are roadworks currently on Ronald Reagan Parkway, I guess to change to a 2 lane highway. | Went back to Mannys yesterday and cannot beleive haow popular it is becoming. We phoned ahead for a table otherwise it would have been a 1 hour wait! BBQ chicken is the best chicken ive ever had. Went to Chicargo uno on the 192 today and was not impressed. The food was average, service average, and the took some of plates away while my daughter was still eating and then put the bill down saying whenever your ready | Steve www.orlandovillas.com/florida-vacation-rental-748.aspx | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| Have been out to Orlando since I started this thread and managed to get a lunch and a couple of dinners in at Applebees at Berry Town Center. Thoroughly enjoyed them. They have a nice selection on the menu including unusual salads and rice bowls. We also tried a newly opened one at Hunters Creek but not so impressed - probably just teething problems.
When we left on 7 August, the Chilli's on Hwy 27 near Walmart was very near completion and hiring staff. Would guess it will be open in the next couple of weeks.
Best meal: Romano's Macaroni Grill at The Loop (prefer this location to their one on US 192).
WORST MEAL: Houlihan's. Kids' chicken tenders worst I've ever seen. Arrived cold with scalding hot fries. Sent it back. Got scalding hot tenders with original (now cold) fries. My well done steak was cold and red in middle. No apologies from staff. World's most stressed waitress, who proceeded to tell us she was having a terrible day and was on duty from morning until close. And that was at 5pm - god help any customers who she served later in the evening! And we made her day worse by not leaving a tip - well, it was already the most expensive meal we had had during our trip. | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |
