Does anyone know anything about Bok Towers and it's location?

Is this worth a visit?

It is off H27, south of Southern Dunes. My parents have been and enjoyed a pleasant morning wondering around the gardens

Very peaceful place and worth a visit, you may want to combine it with a visit to Cypress Gardens which is near by if you do not want to spend the whole day. The map below shows the approx. location.

There are some Florida guide article on the tower which I am sure someone else will point you to.

Regards Dave

It is the highest point in FLORIDA and you can see all round from the hill as you look from the side of the tower .
There is a cabin you can sit in and a large window to watch wildlife .
Also a cafe where you can have a snack or meal .

We visited Bok Sanctuary in February and found it well worth the trip. The gardens are beautiful and as mentioned previously there is also an area with a pond where you can watch the birds etc. There is also a carillion (hope I have spelt that correctly) tower and there is a concert most days that you can listen to.

For an additonal fee you can tour a house built next to Bok, called Pinweood Estate, and this is quite interesting as well.

Very different sort of place with a much slower pace and not too far to travel from a lot of the villa communities

We have been a couple of times and enjoyed strolling around the gardens.
The tower itself is well worth seeing.
It is somewhere that you would only want to spend about half a day visiting.
The carillon concerts are at 1p.m. and 3p.m. each day.
