Happy New Year everyone..!!!

I was just wondering if anyone knew, from what date it begins to get busier in the parks, due to the Thanksgiving Holiday..?
I believe Thanksgiving is on Thursday 22nd November 2007.
I'm planning my holiday from 7th Nov to 21st Nov 2007
I'm assuming we may avoid the large crowds in our first week, but it could get busier in our second week..?
Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Kevin

Hi Kevin
We were there this year for thanksgiving and found it extremely quiet (not sure if this is normal as we have not been there for thanksgiving before)
We went to Universal and did not have to queue at all, it was fab....like you we were expecting great crowds but were pleasantly surprised.Have a great time

You should be absolutly fine - we have been a couple of times over Thanks Giving and although it is busier your chosen 2 weeks leading up to Thanks Giving would be just fine and a lovely time to go.

Thanksgiving is very much a family rather than holiday time, so you should have a great time. Its the shops the day after that get very busy, with all the sales.

I don't think Thanksgiving is as busy a time as you might think. Many people get together for long weekends, rather than the whole week, and then I believe they tend to have family gatherings rather than going out to the theme parks.

We were over this year for Thanksgiving. On the Friday we went to Seaworld and had to queue for nearly 45 minutes to get into the car park, this was very unusual. Other than that it was really quiet and a great time to be in Orlando. So nice not to have to wait in the restaurants and parks.

We arrived the Saturday before Thanksgiving this year and it was busy all of our first week until thanksgiving was over. We had to queue 30 mins for the Hulk, 30 mins spiderman and 10-15 mins for the kids rides, this was similar to the time we had waited in the summer months. In the second week we walked onto almost every ride in the parks and in wet n wild there was only 100 or so in the park.
I would say that you need to cram as many park in your first week as possible as it will be busier on the run up to Thanksgiving.
