I know Walmarts stay open 24hrs but whether they will on Christmas Eve/Day I am not sure. Someone will probably come along shortly who will know the answer, sorry I couldn't be of more help.

We were in Florida last Christmas and the Walmart near to us closed at about 7pm Christmas Eve and did not re-open until 6am on the 26 December.

I think you will find that everywhere will have closed by the time you clear customs if you do not land until 8pm. The Walmart near us closes by 7 as does Publix.

Our management company will arrange for shopping to be delivered to our villa for our guests, so why not speak to the owner of the villa where you are staying and see if they are able to do the same?

Hi Carl, welcome to the forum...

We found even Wal Mart closed around 6pm. To be on the safe side, get your home owner to order a food pack. You may find some of the smaller shops open later, but if you are delayed or don't know your way around, then you may go hungry

If you haven't booked a meal for Christmas day, you will need to do that now, there are several topics on where to eat on this forum.

You should find somewhere like a 7-Eleven or a 24 hour pharmacy store like CVS, etc open. They all sell basic groceries like cereal, milk, bread, etc, etc if all else fails.

Check out the Walgreens - I know the one on 192 near lindfields (or the new US429 slip road area) is open 24/ 7 - 365 days a year - asked the question last year when I was in the same boat - and thats what the lady said - and sure enough it was open when we got there - but the 7 elevens /gas stations are usually good too. I would suggest, a basics food package through the home owners Management Company, coffee, milk, cereal etc and try to book a meal somewhere for Christmas Day.

There will be a great atmosphere wherever you go, so a great start to the holiday.

I'd check with the one closest to you and contact the store manager.

They are not yet advertising their opening times for the Christmas period as yet!!

The Marketplace (Winn Dixie) on Formosa Gardens Boulevard (Marker 4/5 192) is open on Chritmas day for about 6 hours if that helps anyone.

I am not sure if all Winn Dixies are open but last night we noticed the one in Rotonda is going to be open from 8am until 3pm on Christmas Day.
We overheard a member of staff saying that Christmas services had been arranged on Christmas Day for staff working on Christmas Day and it was compulsory to attend one.

I checked with Publix last week whilst out there and they're all closed on Christmas Day but Walgreens are open 9am to 6pm on Christmas Day. They have basic provisions e.g. bread, milk, coffee, cheese, cooked meats etc.
Hope this helps.
