| Best: Chefs Table at Victoria & Alberts in the Grand Floridian followed by the Venetian Room in the Caribe Royale Hotel and then Fultons Crab House at Downtown Disney. Worst: Rainforest Cafe, Animal Kingdom followed by Bongo's at Downtown Disney.

| I live here, so here's mine: Best.... Ruth's Chris, La Cellar in Epcot, Buffalo Wild Wings, The French place at Epcot was lovely, but expensive, The Rose & Crown at Epcot (just don't expect dinner like Mum used to make), Peppino's Italian on 434 by UCF, Bahama Breeze on 436, Seasons 52 (totally fantastic) on 436, Kobe's Japaneze Steakhouse. Worst.... Steak & Shake (Steak Mistake), any buffet chain, CCs Pizza, Johnny Rockets at The Millenium Mall(greasy), The Crazy Buffett on 436, Special mention for the 50's drive in place at MGM. The food sucked, like bad! And it smelt like vomit! | Jeff & Amy Stephens | Edited by - flyrr100 on 21 Aug 2007 14:27:21 | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| Best was Ponderosa opp. Old Town. 3 children; the only place to fill 1 of them who is always hungry and they like helping themselves. Went a lot! Had a couple of good meals at Bob Evans, Davenport. Cinderella's Castle and a character breakfast at Animal Kingdom(I think!).
Worst Ponderosa on I Drive. Wendys, Davenport as hardly anything left on the menu and it was only about 8 o'clock. | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| One main reason for holidaying in the USA is the food, quality and quantity at reasonable prices!
I am quite a plain eater, really not keen on seafood nor spicy food so Steaks etc suit me!
The must do restaurants for me are always The Cheesecake Factory, Tony Romas and The Olive Garden.
Ive never gone wrong at a TGIs, Ruby Tuesday or Bennigans either and the Chillis at Championsgate last year was good.
This year taking on board tips from this board im looking to forward to trying Mannys, The Kitchen Sink desert at Disney and it seems the Buffet at the Rennaissance as well as some more Ice Cream down at Celebration.
Ponderosa and Sizzler are ok as long as you do not set your expectation levels too high - you get what you pay for!
Worst has to be some Chinese Buffet I went to once on I Drive - though not as bad as another Chinese Buffet in Miami on Sunny Isles which left me and a mate very sick for a few days! Im not sure I fancy ever going back to a Chinese Buffet in the USA ever again! Also had a poor meal at Univeral Studios near the old Back to the Future ride.

| The only Cheesecake Factory in Orlando I am aware of is at Mall of Millenia.
There is also one at the International Shopping Mall in Tampa if you are ever down that way near the airport.
The Fillet Mignon is really top grub, only surpassed by the quality and variety of the cheesecakes for pudding! The wife also loves the Calamari.
It is a "chain" but much higher quality than most others and a nice atmosphere. Also you get the buzzers so you can carry on shopping until the table is ready!! (though you cant go to far!) | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| Best this time was definitely Fulton's Crab House. Service was the best I've experienced in Florida and the king crab claws were perfect. For anyone trying to book, don't book via Disney, contact the restaurant itself (number's on their website). We were offered several times and dates at short notice when Disney said they were booked out.
Second was a place we've always liked the look of but never tried until now. I can't remember the name, but it's more or less opposite Festival Mall and has big gas lamps burning round the outside. Definitely not for vegetarians, it specialises in medium rare/rare steak. (You don't actually get steaks, just lots and lots of slender slices of different cuts of meat). I reckon it is the place to go to convert the "I'll have mine well done" people. Even our 5 yr old was tucking into big slices of blood red beef. Yum. Service was very good too. You turn over a card on your table to let them know you want the next delicacy, and you're immediately surrounded by guys with skewers loaded with really excellent stuff. We had a great game betting on how long it took them to appear when you turned the card over (longest was 33 seconds) and the kids enjoyed sneakily turning over each other's cards and laughing when the victim got mobbed by the servers.
Third was Key W Kools - we really like this place and go at least once every trip. It does huge super strong martinis and Mrs T had to drive home that night. (Her first time driving in Florida, we're all still recovering).
Biggest surprise was IHOP. We haven't been there for years and we were a bit ho-hum about it, but the breakfasts we had there were excellent and have now gone top of the list for the kids breakfast choice, overtaking Perkins, for the reasons below.
Worst this trip was Perkins on the 27. Again, never been in this particular Perkins before, but the one on the 192 has been our favourite for breakfasts for years. Service was lousy, food was yeuch. May have just been an off day as we have always liked every other Perkins we have been to. | Tonish | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| Tonish the restaurant you are talking about is Texas De Brazil - it is one of our favourite restaurants . We also like Key W Kools and also found chillis on 27 was again very good this trip. We had a very good burger at Five Guys at the new Winter Garden shopping centre. Our favourite place is still the Tiki Bar at Lake Minneola but don't tell everybody it's only small and always busy already!
