Hi Dianne and welcome to the forum. You have come to the right place to find any info about owning a villa in Florida.

There are a lot of people who recommend the Renaissance Hotel, near Seaworld, and we have booked to eat there this year too

Then of course there are the restaurants in the parks too, my SiL has booked to eat at the Crystal Palace in MK.

I'm sure there will be loads of info if you do a search

Hi,
We went to the Renaissance Hotel last Christmas, it was very interesting to say the least, plenty to eat is an under statement.
You go back as many times as you like. Some people take the mick as ever. They had Hagen-Daz Ice Cream Bars, people were taking boxes of 12s, but the service staff just kept getting more and more.

Funny the hardest thing to find is a traditional Christmas Dinner
Yeah, They have Chefs carving Turkey/Beef/Ham ,etc. But all the trimmings you get in the UK are hard to find Roast Potatoes for one.
Eventually found what I would class a roast potato in the Breakfast section.
But the sweets are something else. They bought this chocolate log out
and it was about 10 foot long
Champagne is constant to the glass by the waiters, everything else is buffet style.
It rained all day last Christmas Day, so the free valet parking was spot on. I must admit if the weather had been good, walking around a park afterwards (or as some people have said shuffling due to the crowds) Would have helped to recover

Christmas Day is a funny day in Florida, most of the 192 restaurants are shut, the ones open are just packed. I think Outback was open last year in the evening.

Have a great time all the same.

We are staying at home again in the villa after a great Xmas day last year. I think I am in the minority and love cooking Xmas dinner and drinking bubbles all day long and no one has to drive!

We too have booked the Renaissance Hotel. Some of our friends did it a few years ago and recomended it to us. Seems like good value at approx $41 adult, and $29 kids.

I'm with you, I love to cook Christmas dinner and the meat in Florida was gorgeous. We too drink bubbles in the spa all day then eat the traditional roast! and of course pull a cracker or two.

Just whatever you do please do NOT go to the hotel at Celebration for Christmas dinner. It was raining so hard last year that we decided not to go all the way to Renaissance- also had reservations at Celebration Hotel so went there and the service was so awful that I can't even remember how bad and cold the food was by the time it got served to us. It was AWFUL. And they didn't care a bit.
