someone drove up the back of us when we were on our way to daytona races...luckily (is that the word!!!) they were american and knew what to do.

MUST call the police (which has been mentioned above!) who sent out highway patrol to us.

it wasn't too bad really, we couldn't open the boot though, went to the hire place on the way back to the villa and they said not to worry about it, prised the bumper back so we could open the boot and sent us on our way!!!!

speeding tickets are the thing you need to look out for....we have had 2 and they are expensive!

I just tried to post a car accident/injured topic but it was removed.

I was basically letting people know if you get into an accident, you should get an attorney especially if leaving the country.

It costs you nothing and they go to bat for you.

Have a safe trip.

I reversed into a car outside Ron Jon's in Cocoa Beach. The Ron Jon's guys called the police and they were there in a few minutes. They wrote a report, were polite and patient/bored. They gave us both copies and I handed it into the rental company when I returned the damaged car. Never heard another thing.

The most stressful part of the experience was dealing with my sister in law, who was in the back seat and convinced I was going to be taken to jail.

The lady from Georgia who I reversed into was more than a little cross as well.
