I don’t think I’ll do all of this report as a day by day report as we really didn’t do enough for me to able to do that!!!

Our holiday was really for relaxing in the sun, lots of eating and some shopping ,sorry no parks and ride descriptions on this report. Its going to be mostly about shops and restaurants, as we weren’t able to do as much sunbathing as I’d hoped.

You’ve probably all read about the outward flight (if not, and you want to - see Icelandic Airlines in the flying section). That was all forgotten once we stepped outside into baking hot sunshine

Flew to Sanford for the first time in many years – as we were in the back row we were last off the plane and last in the immigration queue. The queue moved pretty quickly tho and it did have the advantage that when we reached the carousel everyone had gone and our cases were just sat there waiting for us.
Same at the Dollar desk the queue had gone and I was served straight away – they did their best to get me to upgrade, they haven’t done that at Orlando on my last few trips – must see us Brits coming thru Sanford……

And we were all set – outside into the lovely sunshine to load the car and head for the first time to Cumbrian Lakes. Had a good drive on the Greeneway and found the villa with no problems. In all previous trips to Orlando we have stayed at a friends villa so going to a new villa was an exciting experience for us.
We were not disappointed, the villa (from this site) was all we had expected. We unpacked and set off for a bite to eat at Perkins (a massive breakfast) and a shop at Publix. Collapsed into bed……

Woke up early to glorious sunshine and dived into the pool for a swim (OV slimmers please note my attempt at keeping the exercise going

). Decided not to go for breakfast and make the most of the sunshine (proved to be a good decision as the sun was in short supply the next few days). Enjoyed toast, donuts, cookies and orange juice by the pool

then settled down for some sunbathing…

As it was such a lovely evening we went to Celebration for a walk around the lake followed by a meal at the Tavern.
Just got home in time for a spectacular lightening/thunder storm, no rain - that was saving itself for tommorrow….

sounds great Julie!!! i am not keen on the parks but do them for all the others!! altho we dont do them here!!!
i think your kind of holiday is my kind of holiday!! swimming sunbathing eating swimming sunbathing eating!! maybe not always in that order!! oh and i forgot shopping!!!!

I wish had to time to relax on our holiday but as we had never done Orlando before we attempted everything. The next time we are going for more relaxation.

And you forgot drinking!! Mustn't get de-hydrated!!
