We will be upgrading these forums to a newer, faster, more featured version tomorrow morning from about 9:30am UK time. It will probably take 2 hours to do.

Some of the many new features are:

Runs on a faster more robust database

Allows on-line spell checking of postings

You can insert pictures directly into your postings

Easily find the last unread post in any thread

Any postings made during the upgrade process will be lost.

We'll post a message here when we have finished the upgrade so you know you can post again.

Sob..sob... missing you already... but I'm sure the new improved version will be even better. See you in the afternoon.

Mind you talking of new improved does anyone else ever wonder how come the soap powder manufacturers spends millions on advertising their super duper products that get all manner of stains out from any fabric, in fact they're perfect, then 3 months later they bring out the "new improved" one that does all the things they claimed the last one did....or am I just getting too cynical in my old age?

Found it. It's not the blue arrow on the right as that takes you to the end of the posts. It's the purple square on the left which takes you to your first unread post.

Ola everyone!

I've been to Spain for a couple of days (business trip so don't be too envious, although I must say Barcelona was fabulous) and look what's happened? Looks great, I'm just going to spend some time catching up having ploughed my way through the e-mails. My gals were answering the enqs while I was away - half hour calls on the mobile as we went through them! Can't wait for the bills, but I didn't have enough time to use the lap top between all the meetings and the meals!

It's possible that the information about your last visit has been reset, and so it thinks you have not read any posts. If you come out of your browser, then go back in again to the forums it may then mark all the posts as read, and may work from that point.

I've closed by browser, logged out, logged back in and still it goes straight to the first post. Any other ideas?? If I use the arrow it takes me right to the end. Either way I'm scrolling up or down to read any new posts.

I'm finding same as Kerry, the purple folder icon indicates that the thread has new posts but when you click on it it just takes you to the thread i.e. first post and then you have to scroll through.
