Cajun, Caribbean and great Florida food, which they call Floribbean cuisine in the ultimate tropical setting! Always wanted to eat Key West style? This is the place! They even made the world's largest margarita here...

Do they do other cocktails there? and why is it called Jimmy's Buffet?

Never been to City Walk and really want to try it - yet another thing we must do!! but never seem to get round to it.

Do they do cocktails or do they do cocktails? Just about the best b***** mary in orlando, and margarita's to die for!

Do try - the nachos - but share them because it needs at least 3 or 4 to eat them as a starter.

Cheeseburger in paradise - also have to say is the best cheeseburger I have eaten in Florida. It is named after a song Jimmy Buffet wrote about an burger he had eaten in an inn on one of those islands off Captiva - Cabbage Keys I think. We went there last year and had just about the worst food I have ever eaten in Florida, so they must be resting on their laurels somewhat! I have their crabcakes but ask for them with a salad instead of with veggies and potatoes. Chris rates their jambalaya.

I can't remember his big hit over here, but while you are there they play his music from concerts on video screens - and you will know the tunes!

If you have an annual pass to universal you get a 10% discount - you also get a discount on production of your AAA card.

Book or go early as there are nearly always huge queues.

Thanks for that - it sounds fabulous - never been to City Walk (usually just want my bed after a day at Universal or IOA) but will definitely try - maybe after a leisurely day at the pool. Then again, just want my bed after that too!

If you have not been to Margaritaville in a while, there is now a sea plane, The Hemisphere Dancer' parked up outside! It is Jimmy's own plane, and if you look vey carefully, just by the cockpit window, you will see the patched up bullet holes, put there by the Jamaican police!! They tried to shoot him down near Negril Beach.! The band U2 were on board at the time, all were going to play some charity gig in Jamaica, nice welcome?

It's on the lake, overlooking Hard Rock. You cant miss it, there is a HUGE parrot on the front of the building and a very large sea plane, I think it is a Gruman Goose, but not too sure.
About two doors round from Motown.

If yoo go from the parking lots to IOA you cannot miss is as you go right past it just before you get to the IOA lighthouse at the entrance to the park.

Jimmy Buffet is big in the US and many other places. I know him well because my Dad plays guitar and his cds have always been lying around our house. He is on the recent Alan Jackson CD, the track has just been no 1 in the US country music billboards recently. It is really catchy. Belive it is called Margaritaville???......funny that! It is never off our player, not as good as driving along in the sun feeling on cloud 9 though!!!

Catch you later Cowboy!

You cant beat Jimmy Buffett music to brighten your day, when it is rainy and cold in England, slip a cd in and crank it up loud. Bliss.
The last number one hit was 5:o clock somewhere, with Alan Jackson.

I'm a permanent reminder of a temporary feeling

Hi CDV
Margaritaville Key West, is the first and the best, I think. We were in Key West in March, managed to hit town for the Spring Break weekend and Biker week!! Managed to book the last room on the Island. Margaritaville was packed but got a seat. We always have a good time there.
Jimmy brought out 5 live cds last year. I had to have them, the nearest I have ever been to one of his concerts
Nice to meet another 'phan'

Two concerts coming up in Florida for anyone out there at the time:

West Palm Beach November 14th
Tampa November 16th

New album due next month!

I can take my anorak off now

Happy listening.........

When you are on Lazy River in Typhoon Lagoon you will hear Jimmy Buffet's music playing as you drift round. So relaxing

"Pleased to find I am not the only british parrothead on the forum!"

Being an 'Island Girl' you have to be a Buffett phan. I am just over the water in Poole

I have just returned from the Sahara desert, where Jimmy helped me get along. Had to leave a CD in a bar for the owner. Another convert.

I love the lazy rivers with his music.

Greetings from the sunny Isle of Wight! Suprising really when all we could hear this morning was the fog horn.......

What do you think of the new album? I have to say I thought it was one of the best he has done for a while. Has a much more country feel to it, more like his old stuff.

I like the sound of the Sahara - off to Florida in 3 weeks. Unfortunately just too late for the concerts.

Have you managed to make it to a concert?

I love the new stuf, particularly Bama Breeze. Was singing all through the mountains.
No sadly I have not been to a concert, but am hoping to get to one in Vegas next year. Keep fingers crossed

Bama Breeze is my new favourite - have you seen the video? It really fits the song.

Hoping to do a concert next year - do you think the Las Vegas ones will have the same atmosphere as the outdoor ones? I suspect the audience will be part of the fun of attending. Just going on the videos of previous concerts.

Can you believe JB will be 60 on Christmas Day?

Have been listening to Kenny Chesney a lot recently - the more I listen the more I like him!

Take care
