So sifting through a few pics (some of which will need to be printed out and album'd) here's a few more from the other side of the pond.

For some reason I love these big trucks, they are *so* American

Universal lake thingy

Anyone know why the UK Father Christmas is green? forgot to ask him.

Some more of the Osborne lights

Over and out,

Great pics Brizzle. You and SH are neck & neck with these photos.

As for the truck, I like the big American ones too, but prefer those ugly, slab sided, long snouted, old 'duelling' trucks like the one in the film. They seem to be few and far between these days.

Green is the original colour for St Nicolas who believe it or originated in Turkey. The Red outfit came around from a Coke Ad campaign in the Mid 20th Century

Great pics!

Always remember the first time we went and we arrived at night and when we went out in the morning and saw those big trucks steaming down the 192 just knew we were in USA.

The Osborne lights are situated on the City Streets part of Disneys MGM park.
The pictures don't really do justice to the actual experience.
There was snow falling from above, carols playing and the lights were literally all around (and above).
They also had street performers sat about in character, one lady asked us if we thought she had 'gone overboard with the lights'...

we saw all this just last week and i found it very emotional! it was breath taking, i didnt know they did "snow" until it came down, i was so glad i was there but sad we ran out of battery for the video camera (which i asked steve to check the evening before) my photos certainly dont do it justice but "hey i was there"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and we know dont we Brizzle how lovely it was..............

Indeed we do Leisa.
This is why I love going to Florida at Christmas.
The warmer weather is a given but all the extra things you get at Christmas just make it so much more magical in my opinion.

As well as the Osborne lights, all the parks decorated with EPCOT being particularly lovely, all the Christmas versions of parades and shows, the Christmas music playing throughout the park, characters in holiday dress.
It's just a jolly festive place to be.
