| Steve, I think I have run out of superlatives for your photographic skills. All I can say is that you should stop whatever you do for a living and become a full fledged pro.
My brother-in-law, who singled out 'Wishes' fireworks display as his most memorable event of our holiday earlier this year, would kill to get hold of these photos. | Nostromo | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| If this doesn't convince me to invest in a tripod (and digital SLR) I don't know what will. The wife might need more convincing though...
Great photo's Steve, as all yours have been so far, I'll try and get some on my visit to Wises although sans tripod as usual...

| Folks, thanks for all the nice words. It's very encouraging and I'll certainly go out and snap a few more.
I'm away from Orlando for the next week and half so if I can find a link I'll try to post some of my travels. If not I'll post some as soon as I'm back here in late November or early December.
Paul - these ones were taken with my new toy; a Nikon D70 + 17-55mm f/2.8 DX lens + Gitzo tripod.
I have a quick question for the experts out there. Are the colour changes of the castle co-ordinated with the fireworks, or does the castle just keep going through the different colours like it normally does.
What I'm angling towards is to get a better version of the last couple of pics. To a critical eye they are a smidge overexposed (the clockface on the front of the castle is quite burned in) and the castle is a, well, pretty garish shade of pink. The exposure I can fix dead easy next time I photograph Wishes. The colour of the castle is kind of up to Disney. If I could get the finale with the castle a different colour it would be quite an awesome shot. It also works really really well if you crop the black bits off the sides and turn it into a portrait format shot instead of a landscape one. I've only got paint on my laptop but I'll see if that will do the job to show what I mean. | Steve.
