Mt Dora is just North of Orlando you can get there via the turnpike

From the south on Florida's Turnpike: Take turnpike to exit 267, S.R. 429 north (toll road). Follow 429 to end at Hwy 441 north. Turn north (left) on U.S. 441 and follow in to Mount Dora, approximately 12 miles. (Old 441 or S.R. 46 west)

Hi Janny,

Has this craft festival got a christmas theme, with it being held in October ? And is it worth a visit at other times of the year or just when the craft fair is on ?

Thanks

Lynne

The festivals are all year round see http://www.mountdora.com/ for details.
There are many other attractions like the dining train that goes around the lakes, Renningers which is said to be the largest antiques fair in Florida every third weekend. Also th trolley buses that tour around the town..
This Christmas the harbour and parks were amazing, every tree was decorated and over 2million lights were used.
Its another world compared with Orlando.
