| | Not to worry but can you remember how you did the "hide results" thingy? If all else fails, I'll have to follow your lead and create a test poll too. | Angua | Edited by - Angua on 07 Jul 2004 23:55:53 | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| | That's what I saw when I created my poll but I thought that it related solely to my viewing the results before voting not other forum members viewing options. Doh! I think I'll give it a go just to get it straight in my head but thank you for your help in sending me in the right direction. Much appreciated. | Angua | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

Yes, I also found that, after viewing the results, you have to come out of the poll and go back in to get the voting option again
I think we'd better suggest to John that he might like to create a test area so people can practise and he can periodically empty it of failed attempts!! Right, I'm off to give it a go. | Angua | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| Okay, doing this step by step.
First created new poll with text and options, clicked to "post new topic". Screen informs me that that the new topic was posted. Screen didn't return to the post so I had to refresh to access the poll and.......
......it takes me straight to the poll with only the options showing, dagnamit!
If I want to view the results, I have to click on the appropriate button If I want to go back to vote, I have to exit the poll and go back in to view the voting options again.
It doesn't look quite the same as when I created my first poll, way back when, so I'm guessing that perhaps John has made some amendments to the defaults to avoid anyone else making a mistake. Either that or each member has to decide how they want to view future polls when they enter their first poll thread.

No! I'm sure you're not. Lots of people have put test posts in here. It's just there's lots of other useful information too so I just wondered if the Administrators might find it easier to have a specific test area that they can clear easily. | Angua | Edited by - Angua on 08 Jul 2004 00:18:14 | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

Nope, I'm not getting an opportunity to vote again either. I should think that's quite correct or it could turn into a Bush election. | Angua | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |
