    Car Hire

We are looking to hire a car when we visit at Easter - can anyone recommend which would be the best car for 5 adults and 2 children (8&9) with suitcases.

    Many thanks,Craig

7 seater minivan or two smaller cars would be best IMO.

The minivan is the obvious choice, although two cars will give you additional luggage space (depending on the size of the cars) and the flexibility to split the group.

I wouldn't recommend a 7 seater SUV for your group, as there will be virtually zero luggage space for the airport trips, although the rest of the time, it'll seat the people just fine.

Hi Craig, I would recommend the 8 seater minivan. I've hired one of these and we got the Toyota Sienna and it is like a Tardis, loads of room inside, including lots of luggage space.
It was also one of the most comfortable cars I've driven.

I agree with DT on an 8 seater. We had a 7 seater (Dodge Caravan) a couple of years ago for 4 adults and three younger children. We did manage, although it was a bit tight with the luggage especially going back.
I think for 5 adults and the 8 & 9 year old's you would find an 8 seater more comfortable and practical.
