    Problem having points on licence?

A forthcoming guest has asked me the following:

the girl who is driving has got 3 points on her licence for speeding will this affect us renting the car?

Anyone know what the answer is?

    Thanks in advance!

It is the same with all hire car companies, I believe, if you have a valid driving license for your country of residence it will be accepted. They must have held the full license for a year though.

According to the link Martin has posted

Provided you hold a current, valid driving license there is no minimum length of time you must have held your license.

That is why I posted the link, which of course speaks for uscarhire. I know they have some agreements that others do not.

Thanks Martin, that answers the question perfectly. It may also help me to steer them to rent through US Car Hire!
