    Hotels in Clearwater

We are planning on having an overnight (or 2) in Clearwater when we're in Florida in June this year. We did this last year and stayed in the Hilton and loved the location, but, does anyone know of any better/cheaper hotels to stay in for this time around?
    Thanks

Hi, we ( 2 adults, 2kids) plan to stay at the Sunset Vista hotel on Treasure Island. It's an all suite hotel with a seperate bedroom which we find convenient with the children. Treasure Island is close to Clearwater on is supposed to be a nice place. We have paid around 160 USD per night.
What was your impression of the Hilton ?

The Hilton location was great, right on the beach, near the guys with the jet skis and plenty of showers to clean the sand off.
The hotel was fine, if a bit dated. Our room didn't have a good view (overlooking a huge roof) but you could see the sea and we didn't really spend any real time in it. I would recommend it to anyone if only for the location, but I found it a bit expensive (from memory $300 for one night for a family room)

we thought about doing the same, as we go to fort de soto.
So we thought about doing that then staying some were then hitting busch gardens early the next morning.
I know it's only just over an hours drive but,for some reason we allways bl**dy sleep in when we're going to busch gardens and end up not getting there till about 12. by that time we're hungry and end up grabing something before we go in.so it sometimes ends up 1pm.
    sorry rabbiting on again.
How far is Treasure Island to busch gardens?

There is a best weston in Clearwater so if you put the web site on you will see it ,A lot of the Motels went when they started to revamp Clearwater and they put some private town home up instead .
Treasure Island is a good place to stay and lots of hotels and motels The Buccaner is on the beach and is walking distants to resturants Midde Ground is a good resturant the steaks are excellent.

There are a lot of hotels in Clear water, 4-star & 3-star hotels are available in clear water. You can stay there with your kid there's atmosphere is fabulous.
