Renewing my wedding vows part 2

Hi

We will be married 25 years at the end of this month and we hope to renew our vows in Orlando in June whilst we are on holiday.
I know there is a small white chapel on the 192 near seven dwarfs road/sams club and I am also looking at the Queen of the Universe just off the I4 at the Premium outlets.

I think it would be nice for us to do it in Orlando as its our home away from home and it would be fun.

If anyone has done this please let us know

KLM

We have flown to Memphis with them a couple of years ago. No complaints - it was a decent flight.

One drawback, however, was that you fly from Manchester to Schipol first, then transfer on to plane bound for USA. It made for a longer flight.

Also if you are travelling in Dec be prepared for delays if we have the same weather as we did this year. My daughter was due to fly to New York on 21st Dec but due to the snow all flights from Schipol were grounded ( all manchester flights did eventually take off).

Just something for you to consider.

tom tom problems

Ian

My hubby got the USA map last year for his Tom Tom, he says as he had the room for it he was happy to load it.

He has suggested you have a look at the IPMART forum for Tom Toms.

We are heading out again to Florida on the 22nd April for three weeks, two of which we are touring around so we will certainly use our map.

Good luck and have a wonderful holiday.

What's Going on with the Dollar rate???

Sorry about that, it will be my fault. I'm counting the days (48) until we go to Florida, and the rate is usually rubbish when I go there. Expect it will get better late April!!

In my experience you are best to fly indirect into another US airport (New York, Charlotte, Chicago etc) and then transfer onto another airplane for the hop down to Florida. In the summer holidays the business market is lower (due to not as many business travellers going to the US), so becasue of this a lot of the US and UK airlines tend to have cheaper fares going into these airports. You can then try to book a seperate flight down to Florida from what ever airport you arrive.

I did New York 2 Years ago and did continental to Newark, and then crossed over to another continental flight to Orlando. Might be a cheaper option than direct.

Car Hire Worry

Not sure it means anything in your case, but I've rented cars with my married name, with a credit card on my married name, and presented my driving licence with my maiden name and never had any problem. It actually never occurred to me it could be a problem, and obviously it wasn't for the rental company. Last time was 3 years ago in Las Vegas, with National I think.
In France you don't have to change your driver licence (no need to renew it unless you lose it) when you get married, as your maiden name is actually your only "true" name, and all administrations will keep it for first use. All renewed IDs bear both names, with the maiden name first.

Searching for a villa

CAN I just mention Sharon, I notice you mention elsewhere about a pool fence, and would just like to say that all homes must have at least 1 safety measure in position regarding pool safety. Many homeowners choose to continue using the alarms as they offer an instant warning that a child is entering the pool area. In your case obviously a 2 year old wouldnt be able to open the door by themselves where a 5 or 6 year old could.

I just wanted to let you know and for the benefit of others who may read it to reassure that safety precautions will be in place whichever home you choose and that a safety fence is not necessarily the safest way to protect children from accidents (a good pair of adult eyes is always that) as they have been known to use chairs to try and climb over etc and some people may be lulled into a false sense of security and let children play outside unattended believing they will not get near the water.
